PRODUCTION STAGES OF ELECTRON COMPANY
Pre-Sales Activities;

Sales persons make a meeting with prospects and take them what they want to buy.

Project team determines all requirements and calculate an offering price.

Sales persons forward the offer to prospects and they are waiting for answer.
After the conformation of customer;

Project team makes a meeting about requirements of the project.

Technical unit draws technical pictures about the parts of final product which are include the all parts and sub-parts of the system according to customer’s request.

They send project drawings to Production Planning Department.

Production Planning Department define raw materials and tools, then they prepare a BOM list. After that they check their stocks for requirements then send it to Purchasing Department to supply for remaining.

Purchasing Department make a purchasing request for all project requirements. They take 2 or more proposals from different suppliers.

Production Planning Department distributes all the drawings and work orders to relevant departments via Vault (sharing software). They also distribute a request list of requirements which are in the stock.

Relevant department revise the BOM list and drawings for extras.

The new drawings and BOM lists are collected by Production Planning Department and they send to Production Manager for approved whole lists and drawings.
During manufacture;

All the process realize with pull system. When a department finish their process, the next department take the parts or sub-parts and apply for their operations. (Similar to JIT)

All the processes have different drawings and are made by according these.

“Which methods could be used” question is determine by foreman of the operation. For example some parts need laser cut. They should decide some questions like that.

The last operation of the process is packing. The final products are covering with nylon by packing department.
Preparing to ship;

The final products are located in a specific location by Warehouse department. Because there are lots of sub-parts and they have to assemble in the customer’s manufacturing area. So all parts are counted again by warehouse stuff and ready to load.

The last operation is to arrange transportation ways. Warehouse and logistics manager have to answer an important question which is “How many containers and trucks they need to ship parts?” so logistics department should make some calculations for minimizing total transportation costs.

The parts of the project are loaded with forklifts if the customer wants to get their products. Some products can be wait in Warehouse for transporting.

To check waiting products is another job in warehouse. Products are waiting in an open area. Because of that reason some nylons can be damaged by sun, cold or rain (physical factors). The parts which are damaged have to handling and prepaid for transportation again. There is also another problem which is changing color of parts. They have to repaint and pack again.
